Katie Farrimond, DPT, FAFS
Katie is a graduate of Grand Valley State University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. She has attended numerous continuing education courses since graduation and enjoys learning more about the body, specifically in the areas of sports and orthopedic physical therapy. Katie played four years of collegiate soccer at GVSU, highlighted by a NCAA National Championship title her senior season. Her passion for soccer has led her into a coaching role for a u10 girls team with the Michigan Fire Juniors soccer club in Hudsonville. Raised in Petoskey, Katie enjoys taking full advantage of the outdoor activities available to her. She enjoys trail running, biking, downhill skiing and snowshoeing. As a movement specialist, she wants her patients to feel the same freedom she does to move and enjoy the activities they love!
Why is “i’m coaching” on the back of Katie’s business card? She says, “My experiences as an athlete and as a coach have influenced my approach to treating patients. I believe everyone needs a team and a coach! Someone who has your specific goals in mind, who supports and encourages you through the highs and lows of your injury, and who takes away the option to quit when you feel like it.”
